Ten on Tuesday

Ok this week, I am actually posting my answers to the question on the correct day - Tuesday, not Thursday!
1. What animal should cease to exist? (Not including bugs. That’s too obvious.)
- Skunks. They are the most fowl smelling animals ever.

2. What was your favorite thing about the beach?
- The sound of the water lapping up against the shore. So peaceful and relaxing!

3. If scientists found a way to allow dogs to talk, do you think we should implement it? Or should we just keep them quiet?
- Keep them quiet. It's more fun to imagine what they are saying anyways!

4. How do you order your Starbucks?
- Grande non-fat Vanilla Latte

5. What’s worse? People who don’t know the difference between your and you’re OR people who don’t use smack their food?
- Wow, this is REALLY tough to answer. I am going to have to go with the food smacking people, though. It actually makes me nauseated when I have to listen to people eat loudly. Yuck.

6. What CD can you listen to over and over?
- Right now it's Brandi Carlile's "Give Up the Ghost" album. Her voice is ahh-mazing.

7. What was the most surprising thing about college?
- People actually liked me. Seriously, I was not popular in high school. I was the nerdy salutatorian who was in band, choir, speech, drama, etc. I remember calling my mom the first week and saying - 'mom, it's actually cool to be smart!' All of my best friends (with the exception of my cousin) are girls I met in college, and I so thankful for all of them!

8. What’s the best deal you ever got? (Biggest sale item.)
- Oh geez. This is a bad question for me. I am NOT a bargain shopper. I am too impatient so will pay full price for something because when I want it, I have to have it (although I do NOT charge it, debt is bad people!). Hmmm. (crickets) Hmmm. Oh - I know! I randomly went into my running store this summer and they were having a special 30% off everything day! So I scored some shoes for a great price! Ahem, that was in August, by the way. No good deals have been had since then!

9. Who is your role model? Why?
- Tough question. I have so many, it is hard to choose. But if I had to pick one, I would have to say my mom. She's a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She's smart and competent and stands up for what she believes in - even if it's not popular. And she can cook and clean like no other. Oh, and she has replaced the hard drive on our computer before. Which I think is pretty dang cool since that's something I wouldn't even consider tackling!!

10. What movie would you like to see that is in theaters right now? Why?
- Here's how out of time I am with pop culture - I had to look up what movies were in the theaters. Because I had NO idea what is playing. I feel like I live under a rock right now. My answer is Amelia. I think it looks super interesting and even though Richard Gere is like twice my age, I still think he is quite dreamy.

Y'all know the drill. If you post this on your blog, be sure to leave your hyperlink on Chelsea's blog!!

Not skunks! They're so cute! But they do smell awful... Maybe just take the stink out of them.

I am a hardcore bargain shopper. There are very few things I'm willing to pay full price for and even then, I usually scout around for the best deal. Over Columbus Day I bought two pairs of kakhi's, 8 shirts, and a sweater from Macy's for around $40.

And, yeah, Richard Gere is totally a silver fox!

I agree with Nicole, skunks are kinda cute :S

I'm kind of like you though, if I want something, chances are I won't wait around for a deal... I did get some great bargains at a HUGE lululemon warehouse sale once (where I had to wait for hours in freezing weather!).

I'm with Nicole and Anais...but then again, maybe it's cartoon skunks which I think are so cute?

Regarding the food smacking vs poor grammar...gosh, that's a tough one. I have to admit that I sometimes change my opinion about a person's intelligence/education based on poor grammar/spelling skills. However, listening to food smacking (especially on the phone) drives me batty, so I guess I think that is worse.

I am the Queen of the Bargain Shoppers...so much so that I'll just post about the darling kitten heeled, leopard print shoes for 74 cents. Seriously!

I think your mom must feel so proud for you to list her as your role model...what an awesome compliment! I can only hope that someday one of my children feels the same way about me!!

I had no idea this was actually a Tuesday thing! Oops =)

Anyway, I defintely want to see Where the Wild Things Are, the new Christmas Carol (in 3D that is coming out soon!), and I know there is one other. I haven't been to the movies in awhile. Thank goodness for Netflix =)

We drink the same starbucks drink! Non-fat grande vanilla latte, EVERYTIME I go that's what I get. Haha. I branched out and had the pumpkin spice the other day, it was good too.

I am a HUGE bargain shopper! It's funny because my mom and my brother are the kind of shoppers that if they want something, they grab it off the shelf and buy it. I analyze prices and compare to prices at other stores before I will buy something. And I really THINK about whether I really need or want it! I don't know where I got that from since my mom is kind of an impulse buyer, haha!

You need to come to NYC so that I can give you a bargain shopping tutorial. You haven't lived to you've shopped at Loehmann's (probably the most famous off price chain in the NYC area).

Oh and my favorite thing about the beach is that heavenly smell.

I am so with you about the skunks. I absolutely loathe them. Remember when you hit the skunk with your Celica in high school? You came home like 2 hours late in tears, with your dramatic story for Mom and Dad..and they were like "Uh, You don't need to explain" (we could smell it from a mile away!) haha!

I also have a skunk story from mowing in high school. One was lurking near the lawn mower, so I called Dad to come save the day. I thought he was going to trap it, or shoot it, or something --

Oh no, he took a shovel and chopped it's head off.

So traumatizing.

We both suck at bargain shopping. Mom must have forgotten to teach us that one. I get way to impatient as well!

No, you're not crazy. I posted two different #2's. One on my post and one on the list available on my sidebar. Oops. I'm new at this... I'll get better. :)

i was the same way in high school. nerd (but not salutatorian), choir, drama, then got to college and felt like i was amongst my own folks. it's funny, i still feel the same way now that I'm living in NC again (went to college in NC then back to SC for 10 years). it's great to be amongst my own kind again!

Gully Gee! I am very touched you named me as your role model! I have some big shoes to fill, I reckon! I'm using poor grammar - just to irritate you! Ain't that cool? Mom

I just have to post about the great deal I got two weekends ago. I was at JCPenney, trying to help my friend find a cheap semi-dressy button up for that night and I was checking out the 75 percent of clearance rack AND... I got a shirt for $2.75!!! Woot. I used to pay full price for everything, and then I graduated college and got poor, otherwise known as student loan repayment and saving for retirement (what? ha) and now only shop off sale racks. But yes, debt sucks. My only debt is my car payment, student loan and house payment. So the good kind of debt.
