What's my Hang Up

Confession: I am terrible at interior decorating. Especially if it involves hanging something on the wall! I will hem and haw for HOURS on where to place everything. Then I will usually get out a tape measure, and most likely a level. Because everything has to be perfect. Hanging things on the wall is just not one of my strengths.

And they always say know your strengths - so when I have something that needs to be hung, I call up my friend Brooke. She has a knack for interior decorating, and can hang things on the wall in a matter of minutes - not hours!

So what needed to be hung? 3 prints that I purchased from this Etsy seller! She had a print sale last month and I took advantage of it! Here are the 3 prints I purchased - they were all taken in Paris, which is a city that stole my heart after I visited there in 2008!

And here are the prints after they were hung on my bedroom wall, above my head board.

What do you think? She did a great job, didn't she? She's hung quite a few of my paintings/photos/frames in my house - I am so thankful to have her!

And I'll be even more thankful when she comes over and decorates my Christmas tree later this month! I love having a Christmas tree, but I don't love decorating it. Luckily, she does!

Are you good at interior decorating?

I am terrible at decorating, but fortunately my mom is good at it so I just wait for her to come up with something haha. Eric is pretty good at hanging, but he is really tall so sometimes he puts things up too high.

Your new wall decorations look fantastic!

Oh my goodness, they're gorgeous! I am okay-ish at decorating but I'm terrible with coughing up the money for it & for framing. We're a little spartan over here =)

No, I suuuck at it. I too am afraid it won't look just right once I hang it there or that I have no clue what else to put up on the walls to make it all flow. I also added this photographer to my etsy favs. Thanks for the recommendation!

The prints look wonderful. I am horrible at hanging anything on the wall. I'm measure, use a level, do it all... and everything still ends up messed up. That's great you have a friend that can help you with that!

Love the prints!
What, you don't like to decorate your Christmas tree? It's one of my FAVORITE things to do and I'm so glad I live at home this year because I can help my parents do theirs rather than just my own like I've done for the past four years.

This must be hereditary, because I suck at decorating. It's pathetic.

Ryan has to do any wall-hanging, curtains, etc. It's so sad.

Your new wall pictures are awesome though! I haven't seen your condo in soo long. Haven't seen ANY of your renovations!!

Those prints look GREAT above your bed like that! I love them!!!

I am OK with interior decorating, but I SUCK at hanging things. I always hang them crooked. Eric usually has to stand back and tell me to go a bit to the right or to the left. Haha!

The prints look great! I don't have a problem with hanging things, just with buying things! I so doubt my decorating abilities that I never know what to buy!

I really have no idea how to decorate, which means I pretty much avoid decorating all together. Not the best plan really.
