Loving this quote!

"I would be the most content if my children grew up to be the kind of people who think decorating consists mostly of building enough bookshelves." ~ Anna Quindlen, author

Isn't that a fantastic quote? Granted I don't have children, but I do have nephews and I really feel like I love them as if they are my own! I use every excuse to buy them books! From Halloween to Valentine's Day to Easter to the first day of school, they can expect a book from their auntie Lisa. I am trying to pass on my love of reading to them, just as my parents and grandparents have passed on their love of reading to me!

Now I just need to buy this Etsy print - it is so me and would look great above my desk in my bedroom!

Are you reading anything great right now? If so, please share! I'd love to know what books you are falling in love with!

I'm still desperately trying to get through the Outlander series! I'm on book 5 and it's 1,400 pages. Doesn't help that I don't have much time to read with school books taking up most of my time though! I spent 5 hours on Sunday catching up on school reading, woulda much rather used that for pleasure reading but oh well!

I love that quote and that print DEFINITELY suits you! You should totally get it for your bedroom :P

I only read non-fiction. Bill Bryson is really good to me right now, I'm reading his book about hiking the appalachian trail.

I love that you buy your nephews books, I do the same thing with my friends children. Just in the past few months, my 14 year old cousin has developed a deep love of reading (she said "its like tv but only in my head!") and I could not be more proud.

I just finished The Help last night (and promptly bought myself a copy off of Amazon) and have now moved on to the Monk Who Sold His Ferrari.

I just finished reading Blue Like Jazz and am moving on to mostly textbooks, but I'll let you know if I find something less...texty, more booky =)

Reading IS cool!

I'm reading "Italian Fever," by Valerie Martin. A little bit mystery, a little bit love story, all taking place in Rome and small towns in Italy. A few of the pages are a little bit too prose-y but overall I like it. Only 60 pages to go; if I can get through it means I've met my goal of reading three books this month! Fingers crossed.

Over the Christmas break, I read The Piano Teacher by Janice H.K. Lee. Was amazing, I think you'd like it!

I loe Anna Quindlen's writing. You should read 'Imagined London' if you haven't already!

Reading is cool, and storage of them is a problem when you have lots!

I am reading 'To The Lighthouse' by Virginia Woolf, 'Cloud Atlas' by David Mitchell, and 'Beauty Before Comfort' by Allison Glock. I would recommend them all!

I love the quote! Although I am convinced that there is no such thing as "enough" bookshelves, its just simply room for growth!
I also love the etsy print, I hope they made 2 because I am going to try to beat you to it!! :)

Right now I'm reading Wally Lamb (I know this much is true). I had heard a lot about him but didn't think he was my type of writer UNTil I realized I had already read his first book which I had LOVED! I had read it in french so the title didn't ring a bell... I just have to finish it now :)
