Ten on Tuesday: A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words

Chelsea has changed things up a bit this week - instead of my usual wordy answers, you'll get pictures... with some explanations wordy answers, when needed...

1. Your house.

2. Your shower.

3. The inside of your refrigerator.

4. Your pet.

Um, I can't keep plants alive... Pretty sure pets are not a good option for me. And I realize that by saying this, some of you might like me a little less (or not at all), but I am actually not an animal person... Please don't judge. There are lots of really nice, loving, caring people who aren't crazy about animals.... At least in my immediate family. :) Most of us aren't "pet people."

5. Your favorite pair of shoes.

I think every woman should own a pair of red shoes. Or multiple pairs, like I do! The heel tips on these need to be replaced so these shoes are currently out of commission but I intend to get them fixed in time for fall!

6. The most comfortable seat in your house.

7. Your favorite cup or coffee mug.

This came in a give away package that I won on Becky's blog. She got it off this awesome Etsy Site, Brookish, which is a Jane Austen-inspired shop!!

8. Your laundry room.

Since I live in a 680 sq. ft. shoe-box condo, I obviously don't have a laundry "room" - but I will not complain. It is a glorious thing to not have to hoard quarters to do laundry each week...

9. The view from your office chair.

I work in a cubicle farm. I face the corner of a cube. The view is not worth sharing - trust me on that one. I mean, can you think of anything less interesting than a gray wall?

10. Your spouse/significant other/roommate.

The only thing I'm committed to these days is running, so that's my iPod and Garmin. They are reliable. They never let me down (unless I forget to charge them).

When I was training for the 2006 marathon, I actually named my iPod Pete. Then when people asked what I did the night before, I could say, "I went for a run with Pete."

Well, Pete started getting a little old and became less and less reliable, so he was replaced by a new Pink Nano, which I named Sophia.

I realize it's not normal to name inanimate objects. And I also realize that it's not normal to answer a question about significant others w/ a picture of inanimate objects. Well, sadly, that's the best I can do these days...

Unless I include my fictional boyfriend, Adam Braverman of Parenthood... Which resumes on September 14th!!!!

I love the red shoes!!! Your chair looks like what I want for my corner.
I have a 680 sq ft(ish) condo too, I have a GE Profile front end washer, dryer combo and it's stacked b/c that's how my laundry room is.
You are way braver than me to show the picture of your refridgerator. I would be mortified to post that picture on the interwebs!!!
I think it's awesome that you name inanimate objects. And finally I do not think less of you for not being an animal person, I think it goes hand in hand with people who are not kid people, it's not for everyone.

I love today's ToT in picture form! You have a lovely living room :) Aaaaand now I have the urge to go and buy my first and only pair of red shoes!

I love your home and this was such a fun ToT, while I don't participate I always enjoy reading them. I name inanimate objects and talk about them too. This is yet another reason why we were meant to be friends.

Your red shoes are amazing!! I don't own any, maybe we'll have to look for some this weekend... :)

Also, I not only name inanimate objects, I speak to my dogs like they understand English. You're totally in the clear :)

Everyone is right - those red shoes are awesome!! And I totally agree with you, every woman should own at least one pair of red shoes.

That chair just makes me want to curl up and read a good book. Looks so comfortable!!

I like your furniture! Oh, and I so know the feeling of how wonderful a washer and dryer is, no matter the size. I absolutely hated apartment days when I had to stockpile rolls of quarters.

Those red shoes are cute! I have thought about buying a pair of "bolder-colored" shoes.....but then always just stick to black or brown. A real risk taker I am...

I love your coffee mug! It's just perfect. :)

Your "significant other" photo made me smile. Pete....;)

Hahahaha. I LOVE this post! A few thing:

1. Your condo is super cute and cozy! Our basement suite is about 600 sq feet too but yours looks SO much more open than ours!

2. I LOVE those shoes!!!! I also have a killer pair of red heels that I adore but sadly haven't wore all summer because of marathon training.

3. I'm pretty sure I'm more committed to my garmin and iPod then Eric these days! Haha

Super fun ToT!

I love that you named your iPod. Sophia! So sophisticated! :)

Also, I absolutely love your condo and THAT CHAIR! We need more comfortable seating. We really don't have any right now.

Ah, I loved this picture post! That chair looks so comfy, those red shoes are super cute and I love that you name your ipod. Pretty good trick if I do say so myself. I need to add more tunes to run to. I'm thinking after the marathon I might treat myself to one run per week with music. I just don't do it now bc I don't want to rely on the music when I'm not going to use my ipod during the marathon.

For the last question I would have posted a picture of Jack and probably my laptop since it's the source of all things school work these days so I get it =)

I have three pairs of red shoes; two heels, one flats and I LOVE them. They add just enough sass to one's outfit.

Haha very creative answer to the last one!

I really can't think of anyone with a full on laundry "room" haha- we didn't have laundry at our apartment before we bought our house and we didn't want to pay for it (or collect quarters) so we both did it at our parents house. It was pretty annoying, not going to lie haha

I love your hardwood floors ... and am glad to see the box of 18 eggs ... we buy 2-dozen each week, so it makes me feel better about our protein intake. =)

My thoughts as I'm scrolling through your pictures: "ooh, that seat looks comfy, OOOOH that's the mug she won in my giveaway!"

I totally name inanimate objects too!
