Ten on Tuesday

1. What is your favorite childhood memory?
Spending time with my cousins at the lake.

2. What is your favorite quality about yourself?
I am very determined - when I set my mind on something, there is no stopping me!

3. What is your favorite thing that your child does?
I have no kids, but I love it when my nephews tell me they love me!

4. What is your favorite thing to do to relax?
I love to curl up with a good book and a freshly brewed cup of coffee!

5. What is your favorite restaurant? And what is your favorite thing on the menu?
That's a tough one... Maybe Barrio? I love their guacamole and their steak tacos. Yum.

6. What is your favorite piece of jewelry (besides your wedding ring)?
My friend Heidi got me this Paris necklace a couple of years ago - one side has a pic of the Eiffel Tower, the other side says 'Ooh La La'. It's a fun piece to wear!

7. What is your favorite night of the week M-TH? And why?
Tuesday night because Parenthood is on. That is one of the few shows I watch these days!

8. What is your favorite dessert?
Chocolate mousse

9. What is your favorite item in your make-up bag?
Probably my mascara? I really like Neutrogena. It doesn't clump!

10. What is your favorite smell?
The smell in my mom's kitchen on the morning of Thanksgiving. I think it's the smell of the stuffing that I adore. Mmmm...

Oh, good call on the Thanksgiving morning smells! :) One of my favourite smells is my little dog, Mal- he has the cutest almost sweet smell you when he cuddles up with me. He's less like a dog, more like a living teddy bear :)

I just hopped over here from Nora's blog. I feel like I've seen you around the blogosphere for a while, but have never really said hello. So, hi! You're officially in my reader. :)

And since you love guacamole, I think we're destined to be friends. :)

Hmmmm curling up with a good book and a cup of fresh coffee sounds downright blissful right now!

I have not had guacamole in a long time now that you mention it. I think I need to get my hands on some avocado's and make it. Soon!

Childhood memories from the lake are definitely some of the best. I am in desperate need of curling up with a good book and a freshly brewed coffee. Now, if only I could find that book....

Good book and coffee...yum!

My brother and sister-in-law are teaching my niece sign language - my new favorite thing is to see her do is the sign for a word - it's so cool!

Curling up with a book and a cup of coffee sounds heavenly to me, too! Oh, how I long to do that very thing! And, you are a very determined person, yes you are! That lake scene conjures up memories for me, too!

I really like this week's ten on tuesday. Favourites always make me happy. :D

I'm totally with you on the curled up with a good book thing - except I'd replace the coffee with a mug of tea and add in some cinnamon buns for good measure. ;)

Yes, hearing my nephew tell me he loves me is the BEST feeling in the world! And when I make him smile and/or laugh. Love that!

Aww lots of cute questions today :) I can't wait to hear about your weekend though!

PS. In case you didn't know I'm in the middle of ANOTHER blizzard again. I'm serious, take back the snow!

Someone in my office said her husband thinks minneapolis would be a cool city to live in. I told her that they should be prepared to live in a crazy freezing city for 4 months of the year. I thought you'd appreciate hearing this. The grass always seems greener on the other side.

I have so many favourite smells ... I love the smell of bread baking, and of the air after it rains.
