Things You Didn't Know About Me...

Happy Friday!  This week has been better than expected.  It started off wonderfully by finding out that my dad is cancer free!  Getting that news really put life in perspective for me - my dad's health trumps all other concerns.  I am still waiting for the reorg changes to be announced at work, but I know no matter what happens, I'll figure it out.

San did this post earlier this week.  It was fun to read and I learned a lot about her, so I am borrowing it from her!

I am very disciplined.
I think I am a logical person.
I know I am far from perfect.
I have a wonderful family and group of friends that bring meaning to my life.
I wish I was not so hard on myself.
I hate feeling like I will be late for something.
I miss family/friends that live far away.
I fear that I will never get married.
I hear the sound of my furnace.
I smell the french cade & lavender candle on my coffee table.
I crave pickles.
I search for ways to be better at my job.
I wonder if I will run a 4:10 marathon this fall.
I regret buying my condo.
I love reading.
I ache for Paris.
I am not a patient person.
I believe in God.
I dance at wedding dances.
I sing along with music in my head on runs.
I cry very easily.
I fight for what I believe in.
I win banagram games most of the time (unless I play my uncle Paul. He always wins)
I lose most cribbage games that I play against my dad.
I never leave the house without making my bed.
I always remember that I am blessed to have healthy nieces/nephews.
I confuse the words "lend" and "borrow."
I listen actively.
I can usually be found studying at my dining room table most evenings.
I am scared of snakes, spiders, and other creepy crawly thinigs.
I need order in my life.
I am happy about the progress I am making on my CFA studying.
I imagine a life where I am a CFA charterholder and can be done with tests for good.

Using some of these prompts, what are some things I don't know about you?

I would agree with Kelly - I definitely knew you were disciplined, would have to be with all that studying plus everything else I've seen you do in the past couple of years!

I'll bite down on I Dance:

I dance when I'm really drunk to jazz music. Drunk white men should not try to dance to a jazz beat, I've been told it looked like I was having a seizure.

Great list!

Very honest and self-revealing list, Lisa! And I agree with you and others that you are very disciplined! Have a good Friday!

I crave cheese. Probably not a surprise though. I have to say even though I know you love pickles that one made me laugh.

Others:

I search Google a lot, mostly for work projects.
I wish that life was easier to swallow sometimes.
I have some of the best friends, family and fiance in the world, I think.
I wonder how the next few months are going to play out.
I regret quitting dance when I started high school.

Yay, so happy you "stole" the blog idea because I LOVED learning more about you.... we have a lot in common.

Also, your condo (and the view!) are beautiful - why do you regret buying it?

This is fun! I think I'm going to have to do a post using this meme!

You are the most disciplined person I know. And also the most fabulous. You do need to be easier on yourself :)

Mmmm.... I think you know that I love pickles, too. I am not a fan of golf. I cry when I'm really angry, which only makes me angrier and then I cry more. I miss Madrid.

I'm so glad to hear the great news about your dad! You must be so relieved!

I just played Bananagrams for the first time last week - my years of speed Scrabble dominance prepared me well, ha! :)

I'm afraid of getting my thumb stuck in a bowling ball. Legit.

I am so glad to hear about your dad! I love your list! It's always fun to learn new things about friends. What is a "cade"? I have never heard of that before.

Wahoo for your Dad!!!!

What a cool post! Okay, let's see.

I hate...being late too!
I imagine...a life outside of a one-bedroom apartment.
I hear...the sound of Ben explaining a movie to me (not so unusual).
I ache...to travel more.

Actually, looking back at these, you probably knew all of this!

You are going to get through this CFA!! Most of your answers seemed pretty much what I would expect, but of course I didn't know all of them. I like the bed making one.

Personally, I fear I will never find the career I was meant to do and that I won't get to the level I always dreamed I would both financially and responsibility wise.

I dream of dropping everything in Eugene and flying to North Carolina, Colorado or Europe and living with the manfriend and finding our way in the journey together. The Type A realistic side of me knows this will never happen.
