Virtual Friday Coffee Date

Greetings and Happy Friday, everyone!  I am back from what I believe is my last business trip before my move (which is in about 2 weeks - yikes).  It's been over a month since I did a virtual Friday coffee date post, so I thought it'd be good way to catch up on what's happening in my life these days!

If we were having coffee today...

- I'd tell you that I am tired.  Really tired.  I have traveled every week since the week of February 18th and all this time zone hopping and the disruption to my schedule has worn me out.

- I'd tell you that I am really excited to meet a friend's baby tonight.  I think some baby snuggles with her baby boy who turned 1 month yesterday are just what my soul needs.

- I'd tell you that on Wednesday, a vendor from work who is around my age was also on my flight so we shared a cab to the hotel and then decided to go for a nice long walk since it was a balmy 55 degrees in Charlotte (it was 6 in Minneapolis so that felt awesome).  We walked past  my apartment and checked out an area where I can see myself running so that was fun.

- I'd tell you that while I want to see as many people before I leave, it's getting increasingly difficult to plan things as I am so tired between work stuff and CFA studying.  Trying to juggle my study schedule and packing tasks and seeing people on the weekends is just not working very well.

- Speaking of CFA studying, I'd tell you that I am ahead of my study schedule so will probably have about 2 months to review, which is a very good thing as the essay format of the morning half of the exam is FREAKING ME OUT.

- I'd tell you that I went rogue in the kitchen when I made dinner for Phil and I on Tuesday night and that the dish I made (stir fry with steak) is now one of Phil's favorite things I've made!  I was so sure it wouldn't turn out as I really don't trust myself to cook without a recipe.  I guess I can afterall!

- Lastly, I'd tell you that the highlight of my week was finding out that my sister Abby is coming home for Easter!  My brother from Chicago is coming home as well, so this means I get to see all of my siblings, and all of my nephews and my niece.  That is a VERY big deal as we are so rarely all together (I can't remember the last time that happened - I think it's been years).

If we had coffee this morning, what would you fill me in on?

I hope you are able to enjoy some more peaceful time before your move. Getting more confident in the kitchen is always so exciting!

Hope you can get some rest in between your busy schedule! There isn't much going on in my life besides work right now. Kind of boring, but I am looking forward to the weekend and relaxing. PLus I am working on a few baby blankets (crochet) for my friends who are expecting. I am trying to master crocheting baby booties but its tough!

Enjoy the baby snuggling tonight!

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you the event we had last night, that we've been planning for 2 months, went VERY WELL and was a huge success!

I would also tell you that I don't think we're going to be able to go home for Easter weekend because of the darn weather and I'm really disappointed about that because I was so looking forward to meeting our new niece and seeing family.

I'm not surprised you're tired after all that traveling! But having your whole family together for Easter is huge, and I hope y'all have an amazing time :)

So awesome that your family will be together for Easter!

Today I would tell you that I am over winter, I want spring to be here and that I'm really missing my friends lately. I sound like such a joy, eh? =)

Ha, we did the same post today so it's like we had an actual coffee date! HA. That is SO exciting that you'll have your whole family together for Easter. Great news!

Wow, you're going to have a huge easter! We're actually heading back to SC to visit my parents for the weekend too. And when everyone scatters after easter, you'll be scattering too. :( Hello NC!

You have been SO busy! But enjoy the extra baby cuddles tonight and all the time you can with family.

If we were having coffee this morning, I would tell you that I am so relieved to have a day off today where I actually have TIME to enjoy coffee. Days off are so necessary to just decompress!

I've had a busy week and have been terrible about checking in, but I've been thinking of you. Glad you're home. Great news about your family being together for Easter. And given how much is going on in your life, it's pretty incredible your ahead of schedule for your CFA studies. You're rocking out March like a champ. That's what I'd tell you if we had coffee today.

Exciting Easter plans!! Having the family all together is so special : ) It sounds like you're doing well, though I totally know the feeling of wanting to squeeze in everything before you move.
My big thing is finishing up YTT this weekend! Couldn't be more excited to put this behind me!

I love that you went rogue in the kitchen -- see, it works! Julia would approve! And that you had fun in Charlotte and found a running spot.

Your words of gentle caution -- take it easy. It's time they stopped sending you on the road here, but be gentle with yourself. The stress will pile on when you arrive, too.

I'd tell you that I'm going to at least one play this weekend, maybe two, and doing some art. And that I'm so eager for spring (where ARE you, Spring?) that I can't stand it!

If we were having coffee today I'd tell you that I flew home at 3:00 am, and only got 3 hours of sleep before work today. I'd tell you that I wasn't even that tired, but was a little dizzy and loopy. I'd tell you that I'm happy that someone is coming to remove snow from around my house tomorrow. I'm terrified of flooding. I'd also tell you that I'm excited to leave for New Orleans on Friday!!!

I'd love to have coffee with you and let you vent and tell me about the good things in your life! :) I LOVE to hear about your family reunion... that is so wonderful! <3

Yay for getting to see your siblings at Easter! That is wonderful news! Hang in there with the packing and studying. You are really doing so much that I don't blame you at all for being tired. If we were having coffee today, I would tell you that I'm still getting used to being on Weight Watchers (again) and that I am feeling hungry a lot but it's starting to get a bit better as I'm starting to remember how to fill up more on veggies and less on chips. I'd also tell you that I'm thrilled to have an article come out in print this month but feeling nervous that I need to be doing more in terms of my research and writing.

I am sorry that you are so tired, but am really glad that you found a fun place to walk/run in Charlotte!

If were were having coffee, I would tell you that I am really glad that the last big week of this training cycle is over, but am getting nervous about the race... I would tell you that I am loving our weather here, even though it seems everyone else is not having such good luck... I would tell you how excited I am for this weekend, which will entail a baseball game, maybe some beach time and lots of fun family time.

I love these virtual coffee date posts! I think Rogue recipes can be the best sometimes. I am so sorry that your travel schedule has been so crazy and worn you down like it has. Worries me!

I am SO exicted that I get to see you guys THIS weekend! Makes me heart happy.

If we were having coffee I'd tell you about how much fun I had this weekend with Mom & Dad. I'd probably be venting about my work schedule, where I'm working every weekend until May 18. When I got my schedule yesteday, I actually started bashing my head against the kitchen counter in frustration. Not only am I isolated having Ryan gone, but now I'm completely socially isolated from the world. I'm so over this!
