- slept for 9+ hours both Friday and Saturday night.
- had the craziest dreams. One included some of the cast of 90210 (original show). One was a bad dream about work that haunted me for most of the day on Sunday.
- held my cousin's 6 week old baby boy for 2+ hours. Is there anything more relaxing than holding a sleeping baby?
- had lunch with the two girls that I met through the France study abroad program during the summer of 2008. One had a baby this summer so we got to meet her for the first time!
- made home-made potato soup in the crockpot - recipe to come later this week!
- ran outside for the first time since Thanksgiving! Those 7 miles went great although running on trails that were, at times, snow and ice packed slowed down my pace a bit!
WatchedCaught highlights of the Vikings beating the Dallas Cowboys! Next up - the New Orleans Saints! It's on like Donky Kong, Nola Girl!- spent hours working on the giveaway scarf. The yarn came in the mail last week and is lovely! I am hoping to finish the scarf & hat this month!
- spoke on the phone with two of my lovely bloggy friends!

Weekend Recap
This weekend, I...
Looks like such a great weekend! It's funny- I know I work with kids but I am so uncomfortable with babies. I would not find it relaxing to be with one I'd be paranoid something was going to go wrong and I wouldn't know what to do. Not that I think 5 year olds are relaxing either haha
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about your crazy dreams but I'm glad you got a lot of sleep!
i had a great weekend. went out saturday afternoon (and into the night) and got d-runk with some old friends. it was golden.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a GREAT weekend; good for you! Here's hoping you have an even better week.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had the perfect weekend, Lisa! I love weekends like that -- filled with no demands!
ReplyDeleteI have noticed when I actually get a good night of rest the dreams are craaazy!
Our weekend was wonderful and low key. Friday we went for a walk along the pecan fields. When you come out in May, I will definitely introduce you to that running trail -- you will LOVE it!
Yay for the Vikings! Ryan is not on Minnesota's side :)
Ahhhh, 9 hours of sleep! Nothing better then that!! Sounds like a fabulous weekend :) XO
ReplyDeleteI had crazy dreams this weekend too! I had one where I dreamed we'd arrived in the Dominican (we're heading out this Friday!) to find a GROSS empty hotel room with no furniture but a really gross, food-covered microwave and stains and bugs all over the floor and that was where we were going to be staying, and it turned out my old room mate had been living there (lol). Then I dreamed all my teeth were crumbling and falling out and I had to go see this sketchy backstreet dentist with no eyes and one arm to fix it!!
ReplyDeleteI'm still jealous you got to hold a baby! I need my friends to hurry up and pop 'em out so I can hold some!
ReplyDeleteSo glad we got to chat this weekend; was definitely one of the highlights.
That and the impromptu nap on Saturday morning which was pretty great.
I'm at work too! At least it's quiet =)
You better believe it's on!! I cannot wait until the game on Sunday. Seriously, I do not know how I will make it until then. We leave Saturday morning to go down to New Orleans where the tailgating will commence once we get off the plane. Heck we may not even wait that long!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend! I got to hold and meet my niece who is 3 weeks old...I loved holding her until she started to cry!
ReplyDeleteOh sounds great! Talking on the phone to those girls could definitely make anyone's weekend better =)
ReplyDeleteSounds like such a fun week-end! It's funny that you dreamt about 90210 because I dreamt about Chace Crawford from Gossip Girl... lol!
ReplyDeleteI had an awesome week-end! Two of my friends came over for dinner, and no kidding, we chatted from 7:30pm until... 4 in the morning!!!!!! I don't think I've ever gone to bed that late!
ps: my mom was checking out my blog this week-end and stumbled upon yours and she loves it!! :)
That sounds like a lovely weekend - just the right amount of rest, relaxation, friends and work!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous that you got so much sleep!!
ReplyDeleteSleeping like that is priceless and talking with you was great. We need to have a standing phone date. I skyped with Nora as well and it made me realize how lucky I am to have the both of you to call my friends.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great weekend! Wasn't it a holiday in the US today, or did you have to work?
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the holding babies thing. It's wonderful! I spent a vast majority of my time holding my nephew, who is 4 months old and I can't tell you how much I loved it. (Though, it's also nice knowing that I can give them back to their parents!)
Sounds like a fab weekend! How did your womb not collapse holding a baby for that long though? Broodiness, I has it!
ReplyDeleteI am excited for your soup recipe, as we have oodles of potatoes, and also to see your finished knitage!
I didn't have to go to work on Monday which was amazing. My mom came down to visit and took me shopping for my birthday which is later this week. It was nice just to have one more day that I didn't have to come into the office.
