This weekend I...

Time for another bullet point post!

This weekend I...

  • went to bed at 8 pm on Friday night and slept for 12 hours straight. I woke up feeling like a different person.
  • bought some fun stationary at Target. I love buying new stationary! It's so fun to have cheery cards to send out!
  • attended a St. Joseph's party. It was so much fun. You can read about the Feast Day on Nola Girl's Blog. I came home with a fava bean, which is supposed to bring me luck!
  • snuggled up on the couch with my nearly-5 year old nephew while playing with his Leapster. He is one smart kiddo!
  • felt really at peace when I went to Mass on Sunday morning. My pulse seems like it's been elevated all week due to stress at work, but it definitely slowed during Mass. I walked out feeling much more centered and calm.
  • was thrilled when I read that Carolina John PR'd at his marathon!! I know how much time and effort he puts into his training so was so excited to hear that he shaved 33 MINUTES off his previous time!!
  • was secretly happy when Northern Iowa beat Kansas!! I know that messes up a lot of people's picks (and would have screwed up mine if I had actually had time to do them this week!) but I love it when the underdog wins!!

What was the highlight of your weekend?

  2. Oh sleeping in sounds amazing! I did much the same, resting up was definitely needed this weekend- its so good when you can get what you need.

This weekend I also got a seed catalogue so I can start planning my garden! I'm far too excited about it.

  3. I am glad that you were able to sleep and found a peace that has been escaping you for a while.

I spent the majority of the weekend with a great friend I hadn't seen since before Christmas. He and I have quite the history so it was just really nice.

  5. Sounds like a fun weekend! I'm hoping very much for a big long sleep tonight! I have two highlights - the one person in my close group of uni friends who doesn't live in Dundee now cam up for the weekend, and we all had a scary film sleepover, and my husbands band were the support at a gig of one of his heroes, I was very proud of him!

I moved ALL weekend long. And I have no internet in my new place until Wednesday which is why I'm currently sitting at starbucks trying to get through my reader before I have to be at work in 25 minutes!!!

  12. Sounds like you finally got caught up on your missed sleep from last week! A weekend to recharge sounded perfect for you :)

I didn't do much this weekend and that was perfectly fine with me. We checked out some open houses; we want to move into our own place really bad!

  15. I am totally an underdog person too- unless my team happens to be on top haha. But usually I go for the underdog too!

Sounds like you had a weekend of much needed relaxation. I really hope your week this week is better than last week and you can maintain a normal pulse!

The highlight of my weekend was the same as yours, getting a lot of sleep and a lot of relaxation in!

  17. I bet you needed all those extra hours of sleep!!! I know it's not always possible, but I'm really trying to go to bed earlier and stick to 8-9 hours even if I feel like sleeping more...

This week-end I worked on school stuff and took care of my sister who's not doing super good, but we had fun together :)
