Ten on Tuesday is a bit different this week! If you have some great product suggestions, please share them!!
For each of the following 10 categories, tell us which brand/product you use and why.
1. Cell Phone
Verizon Blackberry. I am Verizon customer for life. I tried Sprint and AT&T and both were terrible. I would love to have an iPhone but that is not happening until the exclusivity contract runs out. I did a research project on the cell phone industry in grad school. Did you know that Apple initially approached Verizon and Verizon TURNED THEM DOWN because they had to relinquish control of the marking??? I wonder if Verizon regrets that decision...
2. Email
Gmail. I love that it groups all the emails into 'conversations' - so all the replay to all are grouped under one email. So if you have a big 'reply to all mass email, instead of opening up you email and seeing 13 emails, you just see one email. Hard to explain, but it's a wonderful thing.
3. Toothpaste
Crest regular paste. Can NOT stand any other brand or flavor. I do not leave home without this stuff.
4. Car
My Honda has been really good to me. My next car will likely be a Honda.
5. Writing Utensil
I really like blue bic medium ball pens. I am a bit particular, what can I say?
6. Lotion
I like Vaseline Intensive Care lotion. I have a hard time finding lotions that don't result in me having an allergic reaction, but this one works well for me. I have to stay away from anything that is scented.
7. Interior Paint
Behr brand is on my walls, I believe. I really couldn't care less what brand the paint is as long as someone else is putting it on my walls. I am a horrible painter!
8. Soda/Drink
I don't really drink soda anymore, but my favorite drink is Crystal Light Cherry Pomegranate. I drink at least a gallon of this each week. It's a good low-calorie juice alternative.
9. Laundry Detergent
I like Tide with Febreeze. I like Downy Mountain Breeze (I think that's the scent - sort of a greenish color) Fabric Softener.
10. Medicine
I probably over-use Ibuprofen... I have bottles at work, in my purse, and in my kitchen. I like to have it within my reach at all times in case I get a headache.
Any product recommendations you'd like to share?
Oh no!! Cherry Pomegranate? Those are my two least favourite flavours in the world!! Haha funny how different tastes can be :)
ReplyDeleteFunny - we have so many similar products we use!
ReplyDeleteBLUE Bic Pens?!?! Ahhh!
(You will see in my 10 on Tuesday my thoughts on any pen other than black) - haha ;)
That is so crazy about Verizon turning down the I-Phone initially! I'm going go with a guess that they regret that ;)
I love the Cherry Pomegranate Crystal Light too. I tried it a couple weeks ago, but lots of other people must like that one too because that flavor has been sold out at my store. My Dad convinced me to be a Honda girl and I'll only use Tide to wash my clothes. We seem to have lots in common!
ReplyDeleteEmail? Well I have FOUR different emails I use on a regular basis. My iPower email for the blog, my gmail account for freelance things and emailing friends, my hotmail account because I've had it FOREVER, my outlook account for work emails, which actually forward to my hotmail account. And the email from all four of these accounts all come into my blackberry!!
ReplyDeleteI want an iPhone SO BADLY but I would also miss BBM terribly. It's a tough choice. Good thing I can't realistically get an iPhone (unless I want to pay ridiculous amounts of money for it) for another 1.5 years when my contract is up!
I have a Samsung phone from Bell that I've had since university. I'd love an iphone or blackbery but can't justify the money right now!
ReplyDeleteI am a Mazda girl. My first car was a Mazda and I drive a Mazda now. I love them! Although I do love my mom's Honda civic coup...I would take that car!
I am particular about pens too. I prefer a medium pen...I can't stand pens that are really thin! Strange I know.
I love Cherry Pomegranate Crystal Light! It's my go to drink these days!!!
ReplyDeleteI have an affinity for blue bic pens as well. I'm not a fan of black and if it were professionally acceptable I would likely write in purple ink. My favorite lotion is cocoa butter lotion.
ReplyDeleteI have been derided so many times for preferring blue ink! And my Civic rocks my socks -- I can't see going with another car any time in my foreseeable future.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Verizon definitely has the best network, around these parts anyway. One of these days if (who am I kidding, when) I upgrade to a smart phone, I'm going to go with an android-based one that has a physical keyboard.
Haha I'm the same with Advil- always have to have it around!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that about Verizon. I'm the same way that I won't switch services but I'm hoping in a year and a half when my Blackberry is up for an upgrade I can get an iphone!
Have you ever tried L'Occitane lotions? They are some of my favorite. I reserve them for special occasions only though because they are not cheap. I also love anything organic without a lot of chemicals in it (I used to be an Arbonne consultant and am admittedly brainwashed to the harsh side effects of chemicals in all our daily products).
ReplyDeleteI love my Honda too! I would love to be able to buy/afford the Honda Accord Crosstour someday.
This was a great idea! I'm attached to aveeno's ultra-calming face lotion for my face: it decreases allergic reactions and irritation.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in school, taking rapid notes, I would ONLY use the free blue ink pens from my husband's work. The ink was smooth and you could write rapidly without skips or effort. I kept handfuls of the pens in my book bag!
I miss Verizon. We have AT&T people for two years. My iphone will be here in one week. I am an Apple person. Paul is a PC person. The only good thing about AT&T is that our phones worked in Europe, which didn't happen with Verizon. I must use a Pilot G-2 07 pen when I work my crossword puzzle. Nothing else will do. My lotion of choice is Jergens traditional. Such creatures of habit.
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way as you with Verizon. I haven't tried other carriers and have been with Verizon for years and years with no trouble whatsoever. I really want an iPhone but am too nervous to make the switch to AT&T!
ReplyDeleteI also have a Honda! They're great!! :)
I also love the way they do conversations in Gmail! It's especially helpful when chatting with school friends about projects.
