Another week of wines & loves!! You can link up over at Nora's blog if you decide to participate!
Wine:
- Allergy season has come late here in Minnesota. You know, since we didn't have a spring and all. I could do without all the cotton and pollen floating around in the air. It's kind of tough to blow your nose on a run, I don't exactly carry kleenexes with me...
- Being a home owner is so expensive sometimes. This week I had to have my freezer repaired & my patio screen re-screened. Le sigh. Between the expense of moving and these repairs, June is going to be one expensive month!
Love:
- I have my last finance exam next Thursday. This one is a short one on financial regulations. I cannot wait to be done with tests for the year. Well, assuming I pass. And I freaking better pass (I'll find out immmediately like I did the for the series 7).
- I am really on top of packing.
- It's great to have time to cook delicious meals again. On Sunday I made a pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Mmm.
- Finding almond milk yogurt at the grocery store. It's pricey, but it will be a nice treat for me! And another good source of calcium.
- Having a full social calendar again. This week I had HH with friends on Tuesday, dinner with a friend on Wednesday, and a bbq with a friend tonight.
- I will FINALLY get to meet my new nephew, Charlie, when I go to the cabin this weekend! I am sure I'll be back with pictures next week.
Yay for meeting Charlie! You better show pictures!
ReplyDeleteWine this week: How tired I am. Exhuasted doesn't even begin to cover it.
Love: This is my last "full" week training my replacement. Next week and the week after I'll be phasing out at my current place and back full time in my new position by July 1st!
I enjoy reading these lists! Can't wait to see Chalrlie photos!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see more pictures of Charlie!! I still can't get over how adorable that name is, absolutely LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap! The cotton! I swear it was attacking me during the marathon. And it hadn't even been on my planning radar at all.
ReplyDeleteYay for having a social life again and going to the cabin this weekend! I look forward to the pictures!
I absolutely HATE how expensive moving is. It seems like every time I move there are so many trips to Target for odds and ends and it's stuff I feel like I should already have. Why do I need more when I move? Le sigh is right!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see pictures of your new place, and I also agree with Becky, pictures of Charlie! How exciting :)
Love: We are so excited that our new neighbors at the lake cut down that horrible cottonwood tree that always covered the lake with cotton around the 4th of July! And so excited to spend some quality time with Charlie at the lake cabin this weekend! And for your to meet him!
ReplyDeleteWine: The weather! Rainy, chilly, damp, muggy and just plain undesirable!
So excited you get to meet Charlie this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI feel you on June being an expensive month. I almost feel like I need a second job; I know that feeling will pass but man it's tough.
Allergies are hitting hard here too. Not fun at all. Hooray for double allergy season for me? Ha.
That's exciting that you will finally get to meet your nephew! Take lots of pictures :)
ReplyDeleteMy wine for this week: PMS and being beyond tired
My love for this week: That today is my Friday and I am off three days next week as well!
Chicago hasn't had a spring either and it is really bumming me out! We go from 90 and sunny to 50 and raining in the span of 24 hours. Yuck. I just want a few months of bare leg weather before it starts snowing again.
ReplyDeleteI feel like we live in Seattle. This is good weather...for hostas!
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the bbq! We judge again this weekend.
Enjoy meeting Charlie this weekend and take lots of pictures!
ReplyDeletePS: Good luck on the test!
I can't wait for this wedding to be over so I can have a social life again. I haven't been able to do anything since May!
ReplyDeleteI'm SO glad you have so many more 'Loves' than 'Wines' on this weeks list :)
ReplyDeleteWine this week: WORK. Blegh.
Love this week: ....it's been kind of a crappy week life-wise, work-wise and weather-wise to be honest so this is REALLY pathetic but my love this week is rediscovering my love for goat cheese and adding it to salads. LOL. Oh, and our engagement photos are tomorrow. I'm excited about that so that can be a love too :)
YAY for being done with testing! Woohoo! I bet that will feel so amazing. :)
ReplyDeleteWine: I have SO MUCH to do, and never enough time to do it all. I thought I would have more time when school was over? Blah!
Love: I've been hitting the hay around 9:45 every night and it is doing WONDERS for my energy levels. Man, if I knew what 8ish hours of sleep could do for me, I would have done this a long time ago!
Yay I can't wait to see Charlie- I love that name so much!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you have more in your love column, even with a stressful move and yet another test :)
I'm so excited for you to meet Charlie, it will be great!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your upcoming meeting with Charlie -- what fun to look forward to!
ReplyDeleteMy wine -- the week is flying and I haven't enough time. My love is that I was able to see a wonderful satellite special of Sondheim's "Company" which blew me away!
You are BUSY! and wonderfully so. Glad you're getting thru all those $$$ exams. Sheesh.
ReplyDeleteAnd heading to a cabin for the weekend sounds like bliss. Breathe some of that "cabin" air for all of us - I love the smell of the outdoors in the summer (well, I love it in the winter and spring, too, but you know what I mean).
As for your phrase "le sigh," it cracked me up. I gotta borrow that.
and now, for a little more "housekeeping." Le sigh.
Best of luck on your last exam!
