I had a wonderful weekend and have some pictures to share with you. I apologize for the poor quality of the photos - they were taken with my blackberry since I forgot my camera!
Mattie LOVED the pizza! He kept asking for more!
Andrew was also a fan the pizza - between Mattie & Andrew, they ate half of a large pizza!
They both ate so well, I decided they could have some dessert. Plus, the perks of being an auntie is that you rarely say no to fun treats! Andrew is almost 5, so loves to do everything for himself. I dished up the ice cream and then let him put his own chocolate on...
This is what happens when you let a 4 year old put chocolate on their ice cream - without watching! Whoops!! Guess he got his week's dose of sugar!
Despite all the sugar, he went down without a fuss.
Andrew tackled the 100 piece puzzle I brought over. I was worried that the pieces might be too small, but he did great! He must take after me - I LOVED puzzles when I was his age (and still love them, truth be told)
All in all, it was a wonderful weekend.
And if there was ever any question of whether or not I am loved, all I have to do is look at my fireplace mantel where all my birthday and Valentine's Day cards reside...
How was your weekend?
your nephews are sooo cute. i liked the amount of chocolate he put on. that's my kind of guy.. :) i have a grand total of 0 valentine's day cards.. and yes i am married ha.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! Thanks for sharing them. We miss Andrew and Matthew!
ReplyDeleteYour nephews are adorable! I'm glad that all of you had so much fun Saturday night. My weekend was completely low key and I loved it. It included seeing the former best friend face to face at a family function but it was actually ok. Awkward but ok.
ReplyDeleteso glad you had a fun time!
ReplyDeleteLove all the pictures! And your fireplace looks great with all the Valentine's Day cards covering them =) Hope this week is MUCH better for you than last week was!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! That is funy about the chocolate syrup amount on Andrews ice cream. I remember those days ... there was something soo fun about dumping as much syrup possible without Mom noticing on the ice cream!! :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad your weekend was great, and I hope you have an amazing week! May this one be better!! :)
You look like you had a fun weekend with the nephews! We had a very quiet weekend. Didn't really see or talk to anyone, except a couple hours with our neighbors to do some vacation planning for next month. And today? I have the day off while my husband works, so it's a bonus day to do some house chores and relax just a little more.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see your mantle is overflowing- I need your address so I can send you some love!
ReplyDeleteYour nephews are so adorable, and you must be magic! Loading them full of sugar and then having them hop into bed like it's no big deal! =) Well done!
Very sweet post! It looks like fun was had by all. :) Our weekend was very laid back but we did get out and enjoy the outdoors!
ReplyDeleteyes I got 0 valentine's day cards!! and i have a bf!! Crazy! glad you had a good weekend! Im at work today too :(
ReplyDeleteAw I love your mantle, you are definitely loved!
ReplyDeleteYour nephews are adorable. I think it's so fun doing ice cream with kids, it's funny when they pour on everything haha unless you have to deal with them afterwards haha
You are SO loved! :) Your nephews are such cuties! The mister and I watched our nephew Saturday night (he's 9), and he was cracking me up because he kept telling Ben philosophical type opinions about the video games they were playing!
ReplyDeleteAwwwww so cute!!!! Seriously, your nephews make my heart melt!!!
ReplyDeletePlus that wall of valentine's day card is so touching :)
I have the day off today because in Ontario, it's "family day" lol!
Awww you're TOTALLY loved!! I love how your mantle is overflowing with birthday and valentines cards!
ReplyDeleteYour nephews are SO CUTE! I love that your nephew likes to put together puzzles!! I was NOT a fan of puzzles when I was a kid, probably because I don't have that logical/mathematical side in my brain. Eric's mom LOVES doing puzzles and has them all over her house!
Glad to see you had such a wonderful weekend with your nephews! Hope you got to relax a little :)
Look at your mantelpiece full of love! Dae came down to help me with live-in nannying for the weekend. We took the kids to the Transport Museum on Saturday(lots of trains and things), and took the kids for walks on Sunday. Valentine's is a non-entity for us. I don't think here is any point when you are nice and thoughtful to each other all the time and you are married - I think our Anniversary says the same thing and is more personal to us.
ReplyDeleteP.s. You can never have too much chocolate sauce.
P.P.S. I missed your banter while i was on no -interwebs land!
Awwww, this is so sweet! I could play with kids this age for hours. They are so much fun!!
ReplyDeleteYour nephew are all so cute! And that's definitely how I used to make my ice cream sundays
ReplyDeleteI still put chocolate on my ice cream like a 4 y/o. :D
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I kept forgetting it was Valentine's day on Sunday. I'm not sure if that is sad or a merciful blessing. :)
And you can totally tell what my relationship status is.
Wow, you ARE loved! Check out all those cards!
ReplyDeleteYour nephews are so cute. I want my sister to get married and have babies so I can be a cool aunt. (Not quite ready for my own yet... plus not married)
Boy, those two sure are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of all your cards on your mantle! You ARE loved alot! :)
