Ten on Tuesday

Happy Tuesday! Here is another set of questions from Chelsea!

1. Where are you from? Have you lived there your whole life?
I grew up in a tiny town called Wyndmere, ND. I lived there until I graduated from high school. I could never live there again. Way too small for my liking. But I definitely had a safe childhood so I can't complain too much...

2. How would you classify your clothing style?
Classy/preppy

3. What kind of car do you drive?
2003 Silver Honda Accord

4. What would your dream home look like if you could have it (or already do!)?
I don't really have a specific vision, but I would like something with an open floor plan and a big kitchen. I'd also like a nice back yard and a deck.

5. Do you have kids, and if so, how many and how old were you when you had them?
Nope, no kids. But I have 4 nephews that I love like they are my own.

6. What is your favorite hobby?
It's a toss up between reading and knitting

7. Are you going to have any New Year’s resolutions for 2011?
I don't really do resolutions, so no!

8. What is something, if anything, that you’d want to change about yourself?
I would like to have great skin. My complexion is just awful right now. :( I went to the dermatologist a couple of weeks ago and am not-so-patiently waiting for my skin to improve....

9. What is something that you love about yourself?
I'm very determined/hard-working.

10. Pick one of the following: Someone to cook for you, someone to do your laundry, or someone to do your dishes.
I wish someone to clean my house for me was an option! Out of those 3, I'd say someone to cook for me. I do enjoy cooking but it's not something I make time to do every day so I end up eating really boring meals (like baked potatoes in the microwave). I'd love to come home to a home cooked meal every night like I did when I lived with my parents.

  1. Yes, having someone to cook for me would be really nice too! It's just the effort of making dinner for one person after a long day at work..I'm usually too lazy for something like that. I'd be ok with someone wanted to come over and do my dishes too, as they are my least favourite chore!

  2. I'd like the 'someone to clean my house' option too. Some chores I don't mind but there are definitely some I put off, like really cleaning the floors - often the Swiffer will do!

  3. #1 Having someone else do the cleaning = happiness.

  4. I grew up in a really small town as well! I'm talking a main street with no stop lights, just a stop sign :) As much as I love it there, I don't think I could live there again. Well maybe if I had young kids because it's so safe

  5. It's always lovely when someone else cooks for you especially when it's ready when you get home! By far the nicest thing ever :)

  6. I would LOVE to have a housekeeper and a cook 2-3 nights a week. Most nights I don't mind making dinner (or eating leftovers) but I would LOVE to have someone cook on those nights I really don't want to!

  7. Lisa.. don't know much about your face struggles but I had a lot of problems and what eventually worked for me... going on birth control pills.. i was on them for umm 3/4 years? then when i went off i had about a 5 month period of crappy face again but it has since gotten better. also, i love mary kay products and their acne treatment gel is one of the ONLY things that can clear up a break out. i also like their foundation and i use their masks for when i feel a break out coming.

  8. Oh I love the idea of having someone to cook for me! Poor Jesse gets stuck with that all the time with my schedule being so up in the air these days, and I'm always working past 7 pm. I'm sure he wouldn't mind having the help! :)

  9. I would definitely choose to have someone cook for me. I just don't enjoy cooking and I don't have it in me to make complicated meals. ;) A cook would be HEAVENLY!

  11. Lol I'm the same way- someone to clean for me!!!

However if I had to choose between the ones listed I would want someone to cook for me definitely, and it would be especially helpful to have them think up meals I would enjoy and do the grocery shopping since sometimes that is the hardest part!

  12. I love to cook, but to come home at the end of the day to a nice home cooked meal would be so wonderful! I'd cook on the weekends so the cook could have that free. I would never want anyone to do my laundry. And doing dishes is not a problem! To have someone clean for me would be heavenly!

  14. High five for big kitchens and open floor plans. I want a kitchen with glass cabinet doors so I can properly display all my fiestaware!
