You all know the drill! It's hosted by the lovely Nora of Walking with Nora!
Wine:
- I do not like the words "restructuring". My department is going through that right now. It *shouldn't* impact me, but we'll see how it all plays out. I'll meet my boss's new boss next Monday - it will be good to get to know him and get a feel for what he is like.
- I have this painful blister on the side of my heel that will not go away. I didn't really get any blisters when training for the marathon, so it's odd that I am getting them when I am running way fewer miles/week.
- Speaking of skin maladies, I have the worst eczema on my leg. The topical cream the doctor gave me wasn't working so they put me on a steroid for a week. That didn't work either. Besides being super itchy/uncomfortable, it looks HORRIBLE.
Love:
- Today is my Friday. I am meeting up with a friend tonight after work and then tomorrow morning I will head to the cabin for the weekend. Can't wait!
- I got to go out to happy hour with my SIL that lives here in the cities. I am very, very fortunate as my brothers have both married women that I think of as sisters, not sisters-in-law. My sisters also married men that I consider brothers. I really hit the jackpot on in-laws, big time.
- I move a week from tomorrow. Hip hip hooray! Next week 2 of my girlfriends are coming over to help me pack up my kitchen. I am definitely very, very thankful for their help! We'll start the night with one final meal in my condo + wine before getting to work!!
- My aunt who is battling cancer had wonderful blood test results on Monday! Fingers crossed that her scans go well in August.
You have so much going on. I hope you are feeling better and less itchy. Your aunt will definetly be in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely lots of good on the love list this week. I didn't realize today is your Friday either, that's pretty awesome. Hope you have a lovely time at the cabin this weekend =)
ReplyDeleteSuper bummer about the itchiness; one thing I don't like is being itchy. Hope it clears up/goes away soon.
Her blood work for the cancer marker is down 20 points - we are so excited! That is the best "love" message! And that we get to have almost the whole family together this weekend at the cabin! Hip Hip Hurray!
ReplyDeleteWine - the weather! Need I say more, but today is sunny and they are talking about temps in the 80's!
Congrats on the test! And wonderful news about the blood work. Have a fun weekend. I think we might even experience some sunshine! I work both Friday night and Saturday and Sunday we have a wedding.
ReplyDeleteDo you think the blisters are a result of your shoes?
ReplyDeleteAlso, if I had girlfriends come over for the last supper, I can pretty much guarantee ZERO packing would take place. Just saying... =)
hmm wine and helpers! awesome!
ReplyDeleteOh yay I'm glad you took an extra day off and get to head to the cabin tomorrow morning - will be so fun to hang out with your family!
ReplyDeleteMy wine this week has been how darn tired I am. I don't know what is up but I am EXHAUSTED this week and struggling to get out of bed every morning!
My love is playing one-on-one basketball with Eric the other night and laughing so hard my stomach started to hurt and also going for appies with my college girlfriends tonight!
Love when Friday's are on Thursday's! I shouldn't be complaining because I only work two days this week and then four next week. But I would prefer if it was the weekend already!
ReplyDeleteI have terrible eczema, to the point where I bleed from scratching. Two suggestions. Pure Lanolin helps, a lot. You can find it in the baby aisle with the breastfeeding stuff. And also...olive or grapeseed oil. When mine gets really bad, I rub some of either one into the eczema, and after a few days it gets much better.
ReplyDeleteYay for today being your Friday! It's always fun to get an extra day for the weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I am thrilled to hear about your aunt getting good test results! It's so relieving when good things happen, when it comes to cancer. She'll be in my thoughts and prayers!
Yay for it being your Friday! Yay for good results for your Aunt! Yay for you being such a sweet, sweet friend :) I'm still smiling over the wedding gift you sent us--and I even posted it as one of MY loves this week!!!! Have a great weekend with your fam :) Talk soon!
ReplyDeleteHey Lisa- My friend has a little girl that has awful eczema to the point her skin cracks and bleeds. Every night she puts this on her and it has cleared up and has not returned. It is 100% natural. If you want me to order you some just let me know. I can have it shipped right to you. You can use it in your hair and on your skin and it won't stain clothes or bedding. I've heard lots of great reviews on it! It is also 100% garanteed for a year. So if you don't like it and there is at least half of the bottle full you can send it back and get a full refund. Let me know if you have any questions about it!

Oh, moving is so exciting! Enjoy your "last meal" in the condo. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy restructuring! they are never fun.
ReplyDeleteBoo for re-structuring, hooray for great news for your aunt!!!
ReplyDeleteWine & Love combined for me this week: my new position. It's exciting but SO different than what I'm used to, and I'm having that 'oh my gosh I'm never going to learn this' moment a lot lately. I know it'll fade as I settle in, but it's still nerve-wracking for now.
Happy weekend!
Today is my Friday too and I was so confused when I saw your wine and love because I was like wait... wasn't that yesterday? Total confusion about the days of the week right now :) Have fun at the cabin this weekend!
ReplyDeleteHmmm. You have a good mix. Tonight I'm wineing -- the dentist with the never-ending novocaine and the after-effects of dental drudgery.
ReplyDeleteMy love -- Ah, tomorrow's trip to the lake. And forcing myself into a bit of art time!
Have fun at the cabin this weekend! SOunds like the perfect way to spend every weekend. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to hear that your aunt's blood work went well - I hope it is all good news from here on!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that your aunt had some really great news. Keeping her in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteGood luck packing up the kitchen!
Moving!! So fun :) You must be super excited!! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd good luck to your Aunt!
