Fill in Friday

San does these occasionally, and they are so fun to read, so I thought I'd make one today!  Feel free to do this on your own blog!

I wish I could go to Paris sooner than I likely will.
I want to have an unplanned, quiet weekend.
I always wear my heels down to the nail, so get the heel tips replaced by a cobbler.
I need to pick up some of those re-tipped shoes from the cobbler.
I feel like I get sick way too easily.
I think about my schedule and how to optimize it quite a bit.
I ask what time it is often enough that I should buy a watch (but have a nickel allergy so need to find one that doesn't have nickel).
I hear sirens when I fall asleep at night.
I smell the smells of fall in the air.
I ponder what my purpose on earth is.
I seek approval from others far too often.
I play piano to calm myself.
I try to be the kind of friend that I would want.
I prefer the aisle seat over the window seat, unless it's an international flight.  Then I prefer the window seat.
I wonder when I will meet my husband.
I believe that my husband is out there somewhere.
I mean it when I say my heart aches for Paris.
I never thought moving downtown would be a possibility but am so glad I made it happen.
I plan to turn some work trips into fun trips this fall/winter.
I hope that the weather is nice on the day of my marathon.
I worry about things that are out of my control.
I dislike tardiness and arrogance.
I struggle to understand why there are people who still smoke.  It's so gross and so bad for your body!

Happy Friday everyone!  I'm running 22 miles tomorrow (eeks!), and then I fly out for (another) business trip on Sunday so it will be another short weekend for me!

AMEN on the smoking thing especially! And yeah, my heart aches for Paris too. I know how you feel!

Have a good run tomorrow - the weather should be about perfect! And also have a good business trip - AGAIN! Whew, that's a lot of traveling! You'll get lots of reading done on the flights, though! I'm glad I don't hear sirens when I go to sleep! This year we don't even hear frogs or toads croaking as it is too dry!

Oh, what fun! I may have to do this one myself next week. :)

I also do NOT understand why people smoke - especially teens and people in their 20s/30s. We KNOW the risks and it's just STUPID to even touch the stuff. I don't get it at all!

I was just saying to my dad the other day that the number of people who STILL SMOKE baffles me. Don't they know how terrible it is?

If you weren't running with your group AND if we lived closer to one another, I'd bike with you to keep you company.

I know your husband is out there, too. I hear he's waiting for you in Chicago. =D

I could not agree more with your last one about smoking. I guess it's one thing if it's someone who is addicted and has smoked for years but I am baffled WHY people still continue to START smoking in this day and age! Ick! Same with tanning beds. I actually used to tan a lot in high school but I would never step foot in one again now or let my kids do it since I know how bad they are for you and I was just a stupid teenager in high school.

Anyways, that got off topic but I like this post and may do it next week!

I used to agree with you about the smoking -- until I worked in the ER. And I gave up hope on society in general. Why do people still eat KFC? Why do people still use Lard when they cook? Why do people still take diet pills? I know stable, reasonable, educated people -- who take diet pills. Okay, off the soap box.

I didn't know that cobblers still exist! How cool!

This is a fun post!

I never smoked a cigarette in my life (never even tried it) and I am so happy I never did. I don't understand smoking either.

I also believe that your future husband is out there! <3 Any man would be lucky to be your husband!

I like this post! Good luck with your run tomorrow! :)

Completely agree about smoking. I know it's not appropriate to judge but I judge people a little bit that smoke.

Ohh I really like this post inspiration! I agree, I definitely struggle to understand why people still smoke. It's such a dirty habit!

Have a good weekend, even if it does end up being very short!

Work trips in to fun trips - I like this attitude!

I really do prefer window seats. Except I hate having to climb over people to get to the bathroom, which I have to use on almost every flight it seems like. So I wind up with aisle seats most often.

i prefer the aisle seat as well!

I love that you take your shoes to the cobbler. I was at work the other day and this girl was complaining that she always wore her heels down and had to throw away her shoes! I told her she could take them in and she was so surprised that people do that. It's not expensive either! It's much cheaper than a new pair of shoes!
