Meals, Books, Miles and Looks of November

Hello, December!    November was another awesome month.  Here's a glimpse of how I spent the month!

Music:

Million Years Ago by Adele - For the second month in a row, I'm sharing a song from Adele's new album (which is amazing).  This live performance shows how incredibly talented she is!

Books:

I was thinking that this was a lighter reading month for me but then I went back and counted and realized I read 8 books!!  My favorites were Fates and Furies and Did You Ever Have a Family, both of which were nominated for the National Book Award.

Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates - 3 stars
Fates and Furies by Lauren Groff - 4 stars
Rising Strong by Brene Brown - 3 stars
After you by Jojo Moyes - 4 stars
The Year of Living Biblically by A.J. Jacobs - 4 stars
The Fishermen by Chigozie Obioma - 3 stars
A Window Opens by Elisabeth Egan - 4 stars
Did You Ever Have a Family by Bill Clegg - 5 stars

Miles:

I focused less on running this month so only logged 53 miles which I am OK with as this is the running off-season for me due to our cold weather and short hours of daylight.  My goal for the month was to do 30 workouts in 30 days which I succeeded in accomplishing as in addition to running I went to 12 yoga classes and did 11 strength training sessions for a total of 33 workouts!  I expect the next couple of months to look like November did, especially since I decided to treat myself to a 3-month unlimited membership to Core Power Yoga.  Yes, it is expensive but since I don't pay for a gym membership for the other 9 months of the year, I figure I can justify it!

Looks:

I only have 1 outfit to share this month as I was lazy about taking photos of my outfits.  But the one outfit I am sharing is one I love!  It's the dress I wore to Alli's wedding, which I got 50% off at Banana Republic (as usual).  Excuse the ugly hotel room background in this photo!

And my last look is my new hairdo!  I didn't take much length off but I darkened it for the winter months.

Hooray for more core power! I'm still rocking the 10 class pass, and right now I'm taking classes at pure barre st. paul since they just opened. Love that dress, so pretty!

I love that dress and it is very stunning on you! I like this length of hair on you and the style. I am getting my hair cut today, and it is about 4 weeks overdue, so can't wait! Just so the roads aren't too icy for me to drive 20 miles as we got about 4 or so inches of wet snow last night. It looks pretty out so hope the snow cover lasts!
I only read two books this month but that is good for me, as I do other types of readings in my spare time. I doubt I will get another book started until after Christmas!
Keep up the good work on exercising!

Love the blue dress on you, stunning.

A new to me artist (and album) is Chris Stapleton's Traveler; it's kind of blues/folk/country? I'm digging it. Thank you Spotify for letting me stream an entire album.

You look smokin' in that dress, missy! :)

I'm glad you treated yourself to that yoga membership. I think it will wind up being the perfect splurge, especially for this time of year!

I got a crazy good deal with my yoga studio because they had just merged with the gym on the floor below and they were running a special offer. My weekly membership of unlimited classes plus 24 hour gym access is the same price as a single yoga class! (and I get to bring a friend to the gym for free) so as long as I go at least once a week I'm breaking even :)

I love Adele's new album too!

That dress looks amazing on you and I also really love your hair!! I'm going for a cut next week and looking forward to getting a trim, especially in my bangs! I need to get going on my meals miles books and looks recap tonight. So glad you splurged on the yoga membership, it's obvious how much you enjoy going and you totally deserve it!

I like your new do! I have a haircut scheduled on Dec 22, which I am really looking forward to and it is much needed. I got it as a Groupon, as I still have not really found a good hairdresser around here that doesn't cost an arm and a leg (I mean, really, $70 for a haircut is just silly).

You look fabulous in that dress!! Gorgeous! Also, you have SO many nice things fro Banana Republic. I need to shop at that store next time we're in a city with one.

You looked absolutely stunning in that BR dress, and no wonder with all the working out you've been doing lately! So inspiring!

I recently started a book club here and our first book was _Fates & Furies_, which I really enjoyed in spite of my reservations about the style.
