Four Things Friday

My mind is, once again, mush. By the time Friday rolls around, I am just dog tired. My Friday night schedule usually involves working out and then spending the night on the couch either reading or watching a movie. And that is what I intend to do tonight. Sometimes I wonder where my Mr. Right is and I think - well, he's probably also a homebody, sitting on his couch watching movies. How in the heck are we ever going to find each other!

Anyways, here are 4 things that are on my mind right now:

1. When the Starbucks Barrista greets me by name, I kind of want to jump over the counter and hug him. It's nice to have someone great me with a smile and a coffee at 7:15 am each day.

2. I'm starting to formulate my Christmas present shopping strategy. It takes a lot of thought to come up with the perfect gift for everyone on my list! And given how fast October flew by, Christmas is going to be here before we know it!

3. I'm so excited to see my aunt & cousins this weekend - they are coming to the cities to shop while their husbands hunt. I can't wait to see my cousin who is now almost 20 weeks pregnant (I think?). She sent me the picture from her ultrasound and I instantly thought - it's a girl. I wonder if I will be right!!!

4. Lately I feel like I could completely give up TV. I have pretty much zero interest in it and have been deleting stuff off my DVR right and left. I am getting so much reading done, though, so I kind of hope my disinterest continues!

What's on your mind? Any fun plans for the weekend?

Ah, Friday. I hear you on the TV thing. We don't have cable (I refuse to pay like $60 for basic channels), so I watch everything online. I usually read a recap of episodes before I watch so I know what's going to happen anyway, and if the recap doesn't sound good I don't even bother.

I am hoping to get a lot of reading done this weekend too! I just started The Kite Runner and I want to finish it and start Pride and Prejudice for the blogger book club!

I'm not suprised you are tired by Friday, you seem to live life at 100 miles an hour!

I tend to buy everyone a book, and one really cool thing, and ake a little thing. I am home-making alot of things this year, mostly food!

I watch TV alot in the winter, but I read loads anyway!

Good luck on resting up this weekend, I'm in need of R&R too- and I'm starting my christmas list as well!

Honestly, since being a student with very limited funds, Christmas REALLY stresses me out.

Don't get me wrong, I love picking out the perfect gift for everyone every year, but it just stresses me out to spend so much money all at once! I tend to put off my Christmas shopping as long as possible.

Your Friday night is EXACTLY what I plan on doing tonight. I skipped the gym this morning to get some extra sleep so I'm going there tonight after work and then I plan on doing laundry and reading my book, all night. I CAN'T WAIT!

Have a good weekend, lovely :-) XO

Did you know that Laurie & family are coming home for Christmas this year? We are thinking maybe we should rent the Senior Center and get the whole Dotzenrod family together on Christmas Day! What are your feelings? It's getting to be too many for our homes!
I agree with you on TV! All I watch is EWTN, Home & Garden Channels & Food Network!

I am right with you on tv! I am so pissed that we have to spend like $50/month on direct tv. All I watch is the news and Biggest Loser. I hate tv!!!

Sounds like you have 4 things to be very happy about this Friday! I feel the same way about a good barista! My 2 favorite coffee shops for studying, I don't even need to tell them what I want--and they know. I love that feeling (esp living in a town where I know few people!)

And which cousin is pregnant?????

Hope you have a great weekend!!
