Feeling Blessed

Ok, so clearly this transition from Minneapolis to Charlotte has not been easy for me, to say the least...  But I will say that while I am going through a difficult time, I have been reminded that I am very blessed with wonderful family and friends who have done as much as they can to make this transition better.

Besides lots of emails, texts, and phone calls from friends checking in, I have also been on the receiving end of a whole lot of mail, packages, and other fun surprises.  The concierge emails me every time something is delivered for me and it makes going home just a little bit more exciting knowing I have something waiting there for me.

Here are some of the fun things I've received over the last 3 weeks!

Beautiful flowers from my parents, which lasted over a week!

I received my first macaron of the month club delivery that my 3 best girlfriends from college got me.  These arrived the day after I found out about my stress fracture, so the timing of their delivery was impeccable...

Becky sent an out-of-this-world care package!  The guide of awesome really IS awesome.  I can't wait to be done studying so I can check out some of the activities Becky highlights!

Lots and lots of snail mail (I have received more than is pictured)!  In a single day, I received 2 Paris-themed cards, and a book set in Paris (from Kelly).  My friends know me well.  Not pictured:  the sea salt chocolate bar Kelly sent that I consumed...  The note cards in the top left corner are the addressed note cards my friends gave out at my going away party - super thoughtful of them, it's the gift that keeps on giving.

So yes, I have been spoiled.  But as tough as these past 3+ weeks have been, I do feel very very blessed.

Yay, I'm so glad you have received so much mail since arriving. I swear, snail mail can change a whole day around :)
I'm also glad you liked and ate the chocolate- Amber and I had a funny whatsapp convo while I was at Target deciding what to get you. I had no idea what kind of chocolate you like, but we decided since you aren't a big dairy person it would be dark chocolate haha. Either way, at least you liked it!

Hooray for packages!!! I had so much fun putting yours together so I'm glad you like it! And how cool that your concierge emails you when you have a package - what a great thing to look forward to for the rest of the day!

I'm pretty sure all your friends would much prefer you to be in a better place, mentally and physically. But, while you're down, it's amazing to see so many friends jumping to the call of duty.

Yay I'm glad you're feeling the love! It'll get better, I'm sure, but while you're down I'm glad you're surrounded, at least virtually, by a whole lot of people who <3 you.

How fun! I wish I could package up the snow we received during the night and send it to you! Can you believe it? May 2nd!!! Sure hope that the boot is doing its job and you will be on the running trails again soon.

I know it's a huge adjustment, but having a support system like that has to make it easier. I can't wait to see what's in the packet of awesome.

That "packet of awesome" is AWESOME! What a thoughtful gift! I have to chuckle thinking what I would put in such a packet for someone to move to Wyndmere! Hilarious would be the reaction! Hmm, let's see - The Rock Garden! Pretty short list! I love this post and you are blessed! I can't wait for blogs about your discoveries of that area as I'm sure it will be awesome!

Well, my dear, you deserve it in spades. I'm sure the mail call is always a cheery thing when you have lovelies. Macaron of the month? Be still my heart! What a perfect gift for you -- and that book looks fabulous -- I'll want a review!

Yes, much to be thankful for, my friend. This is good...

The macaroon of the month club sounds amazing! I would be excited it is was just a single one. But the fact there are so many, with some many different flavors, makes it that much more awesome!
