Good Morning and happy Friday! I hope this finds you all doing well! I had a great Valentine's Day and hope you did as well! The dinner I made turned out great and while the souffles did not puff up as much as I thought they would, they tasted good which is all that matters!
I thought I'd close out the week with this "currently" post that has been floating around the blogosphere (originally posted by Amy)!
Currently…
feeling tired as I have not been sleeping well this week.
writing way more at work these days after a very long dry spell of not publishing anything!
reading a book that I will be reviewing for TLC book tours at the end of the month. My reading has definitely declined this month as I increased my CFA studying hours from 15 to 18 hours, so that eats up some precious reading time.
listening to the Ingrid Michaelson channel on Pandora. I heart her!
eating more home-cooked meals than I did this fall. It has been nice to be home most weekends as that gives me time to make something to eat for lunches during the week!
wishing I felt more certain about all of the decisions I have made/will make in the weeks to come, like deciding to move to Charlotte and figuring out where to live.
enjoying the time I am spending with Phil as he tends me make me feel more calm about things and keeps reminding me that the move to Charlotte will work out.
drinking so much coffee.
learning a lot at work now that I am trying to write articles on my own (in the past I co-authored them with my previous boss).
missing a time in life when I wasn't making so many critical, life-changing decisions. I miss those simpler times.
thinking about my upcoming trip to Charlotte next weekend and hoping I find an apartment that I like that is in my price range and will have room for my big dining room table.
using the new lasagna pan my parents got me as part of my birthday present when I entertain 3 couples this weekend!
What are you up to, currently?

Oooh are you going to share your Valentine's Day dinner? I'm glad you guys had a fun night!
I'm so glad your Valentines Day dinner was a success! However, I didn't have a doubt in my mind it wouldn't be wonderful. Those souffles looked beautiful! You are awesome!
I don't know if you'll ever feel completely in control and "comfortably" of your decisions right now. Until your in your new place, settled, and in the rhythm of things. It's just a big change to go through.
I definitely can relate to you. Ryan got news this week that some big changes are being made, and he can do nothing to deal with it while he's at AMS (doesn't get phone calls or free time of any sort to deal with anything). So when he gets home we get to make some big decisions. Let's just say next year at this time we could be in New Jersey. We could be in Maine. We could be in Tucson. He could be commuting to Phoenix. We have no idea. I just have to take this news with grace and trust in God. *sigh*
Oooh, I just turned on the Ingrid Michaelson Pandora station! I love her so much!
Wishing you peace and calm during this time. xoxo
I'm really, really glad you have Phil to help you feel calm and at peace during this time. It's nice to lean on someone, isn't it? :)
I'm glad you had a wonderful Valentine's Day! Yay!
Currently I'm wishing I had some doughnuts. that would be good.
Currently, I'm drinking coffee, working on an article manuscript, and procrastinating from grading papers. I'll have to spend some significant time doing that later today and this weekend, though.... At least I'm also currently planning on doing some snow shoeing tomorrow with Mark and going on a movie double date tomorrow night.
Currently, I am trying not to scream and pull my hair out and well, basically trying to survive the in-laws.
Enjoy your dinner party! I wish we could be there as I am sure it will be wonderful.
I love that Phil calms you down- that's probably the most important thing right now, because like Abby said, you aren't going to feel totally comfortable with this, at least until you do it, and even then it may take a bit.
I'm glad to hear your Valentines Day dinner went well :) I hope you have a good weekend!
I love that Phil is there for you! He sounds amazing.
Enjoy the weekend and hope you share pictures of the dinner/lasagna pan!
I love the way you wrote this post! I hope all goes well for you.
I'm glad that you are feeling calmer and that Phil is being a good support. Souffles sound wonderful!
I have definitely been drinking lots of coffee lately too and not sleeping so great. Stress is awful for that!
I'm currently reading a book that I've been looking forward to for almost a year. Third in a trilogy, so far it's excellent!
You are the MASTER chef! Souffles and now lasagna?! You win - hands down.
Currently I am feeling excited and nervous about an appointment I have this afternoon (*ahem* you know about it and it involves ink), I am anticipating a busy week (lots of plans on weeknights which I don't normally do) and I am looking forward to all of them.
Hope you're off tomorrow - happy Sunday my friend!
I've thought about doing one of these posts. I like seeing what my favorite bloggers have been up to lately. :) I've been trying to eat more home-cooked meals as well, but I always buy separate ingredients for lunch that I keep at work. This week I'm eating an apple and cheese sandwich with whole grain mustard on multi-grain bread. I found the recipe on Real Simple's website, and while the taste is odd and takes some getting used to, it's a tasty combination, especially with toasted bread. And if you get the medium whole grain mustard, it gives your sandwich a little kick.
I haven't been listening to music a whole lot lately. I am all the time getting songs stuck in my head, and it causes for a noisy day almost every day, so I've been taking quiet drives to quiet my mind down some.
I love these posts :-) Currently I'm getting really excited for a couple vacations I have coming up!!!
I've said it before ... but, this post reminds me that it's such a bittersweet time for you. I'll be thinking of you this weekend as you travel to warmer climates to look for a new home!
I am so glad that Phil is there by your side, helping you get through all of these big decisions! He is a life saver! I hope you are enjoying your trip to Charlotte!
Currently (as in right now) I'm wondering where my Sunday has gone! Still need to grocery shop and meal prep but I've been glued to the couch this week. I'm also currently both looking forward to getting back to work and dreading it at the same time. Not sure how that works exactly..
