Missing Paris...

I stumbled across this blog today - it's about an American couple, living abroad in Paris. She's a freelance writer & her husband's job isn't geographically constrained, so they decided to move to Paris for 6 months. How fabulous would that be?

I'm scrolling through her pictures and am missing my days in Paris so much!! They are living in my favorite area of Paris (The Marais), along the Rue St. Paul. Oy, that would be fabulous!

I feel like my job will always be geographically constrained, so doing something like this probably isn't in the cards for me. Unless I write a book someday, which is something I dream of doing. And I can't imagine a more inspiring place to write - I can just picture myself sitting at the little sidewalk cafes, sipping a cappuccino, and writing.

Ok, probably not a practical dream, but dreams aren't supposed to be practical, right?

For now, I am reflecting back on those wonderful days I spent in France last summer, chronicled here.

You know what's funny? I was in Paris in high school at the end of a (sort of) long European vacation. We spent only 2 days there because we had very little time left by the time we actually got there. To this day, if you asked me how I felt about Paris I would still have to say - I just didn't like it. My most vivid memory of Paris is getting into a fight with my little brother outside of Napoleon's tomb and kicking him in the shins. Ha. I need to go back there - spend more time, possibly not at the end of a long family vacation. I think I'm the only person in the world that can say that don't like Paris.

I saw this blog on Glamour the other. I bookmarked it, but had completely forgotten. Thanks for reminding me!
