Ten on Tuesday

Chelsea's 10 on Tuesday are travel themed today!!

1. Favorite way to travel (plane, train, automobile, etc.)
Definitely plane because it is the quickest way to get places... I am a very impatient person... and a not so great driver...

2. Where’s your favorite place to travel to that you’ve been to?
Paris - no surprise there! I thought Paris was so enchanting. I can not wait to return there in February.

Runner up is the south island of New Zealand.

3. Where’s the place that you want to go but have never been?
Italy. I kind of want to wait until I have a significant other to go there - perhaps for a honeymoon. If I am still single 5 or 10 years from now, though, I will just go on my own!

4. Do you deal with traffic well?
Hells no. I am so impatient and I can't stand the idiots that are out on the road. I'm looking at you, Mr. going 5 mph below the speed limit in the passing lane.

5. Ever had an emergency while traveling?
Nope, not that I can recall!

6. Do you have a passport? What countries have you been to?
Yes, I just got my new one!

These are the countries I've seen, in the order I have seen them: England, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Dominican Republic, France.

7. Are you’ve light packer or do you pack everything but the kitchen sink?
I've gotten to be a lighter packer because I know how not fun it is to haul a ginormous suitcase around. I will say, I have gotten quite good at fitting a heck of a lot of stuff in a small suitcase.

8. Do you take the fastest route or the road less traveled?
Um, usually the fastest route. Unless I am walking in a city, then I am ok with wandering aimlessly. And let's be honest, I pretty much always get lost at some point during the trip which = taking the road less traveled... Yes, I was born without a sense of direction.

9. Do any activities on the road? (like road games, reading, sleeping, etc. )
Well, I am pretty much always traveling alone... So if I am driving, let's hope I am not sleeping! When I fly, I listen to my iPod asap so I can give off the "Don't even think about talking to me, we are not going to exchange life stories" look. And then I either knit or read.

I know that makes me sound like a not nice person. I really am. I just don't do small talk with random strangers.

If I actually ever went on a road trip with someone else, I would definitely bring along the book, "If... Questions for the Game of Life". It's a great way to get to know people!

10. Use a paper map or GPS?
Well, I rely on my GPS, Australia Lee. He usually gets me to my destination. Sometimes he gets me ridiculously lost. But he talks to me in an Australia accents, so really, I can't complain!

PS - Parenthood resumes tonight! So, so, so excited. I am in dire need of an Adam Braverman fix.

Wow I'm so jealous of all the places you have been, that is so awesome!!
I agree I have no patience driving, at all. I always want to just get there. I prefer to fly but I hate airports now, used to love them but it's not fun anymore.

You've been to lots of exciting places! I love the 'don't even think about talking to' part. I'm so much the same way. I'm a friendly, nice person but I hate when people want to start talking to me on a plane because you can't get away...and they are always the crazy people anyway!

High five for being born without a sense of direction! I use my GPS just about anytime I leave my valley. You are definitely well traveled my friend. I dont have a life list but if I did, getting a passport and using it would definitely be on there.

So jealous of all the places you've been! If the Italy trip happens next May, which I think it will, I'm going to take off a huge chunk of time (seriously, like 2 or 3 weeks) and my brother and I will be heading to France/Switzerland and possibly Spain after we are done in Italy. Not sure when I'll get back there again so going to make the most of it! I can't wait =) And if the Italy trip doesn't happen, I'm doing it myself!

Haha I was going to leave you a comment about Parenthood! :) I won't get to watch it until after work tomorrow (because we don't have cable and I watch everythign on hulu) but I know it'll be good!

You're lucky to have been able to travel to so many interesting countries. I've always wanted to go to Fiji!

Your Paris trip is going to be here before you know it!

I can't believe how many countries you've been to, Lisa! That is just amazing!!!

I hate sitting next to random people on airplanes. I definitely do the same. Sometimes my batteries go dead, but I still keep my headphones on.....just so they don't start talking to me.

Iy-yi-yi. Annoying.

Totally agree with your number four!! I followed a person like that today...except one minute they would be going 10 over and then back down to the speed limit then back to 10 over. Drove me nuts!

I like traveling by plane if you could minus all of the line ups and delays that come with it.

I knew you'd like this 10 on Tuesday! You are very well-traveled!!

I definitely prefer traveling on planes because I can get there fast, but I hate all the hassle of airports!!

Haha, you are so like me with #9. I'm so bad at small talk, especially with strangers!

I really want to go to Australia and NZ. NOt sure when that will happen. You've been to quite a lot of places! I love traveling alone although having someone to chat with when you see a really hideous outfit in the airport is pretty fun.

I like this one. We use latitude and googlemaps, but also take paper maps with us!

My favourite method of travel is definitely train!

I've heard that the Czech Republic is beautiful. Italy is next for us too. My parents did Tuscany two years ago and loved it.

And Parenthood? AWESOME and I am so excited. I am in love with both Braverman brothers. Two totally different kinds of hot.

I'm totally like you on airplane rides. I use them to relax, read, and listen to my ipod. I don't really have a strong desire to talk to the random people I'm sitting next to for an hour or two.
