Wine and Love v3

Week 3 of Nora's Wine & Love series.  It's pretty cool to see how many people across the interwebs are doing these weekly posts!

Wine:
  • Rain, rain, go away.  Especially when you come with temps in the 40s.  Not cool, mother nature, not cool.
  • Eating dinners alone gets really, really old sometimes.  I have always said there isn't anything I won't do alone...  but that doesn't mean I don't wish I had a dinner companion a tad more often.
  • Realizing there is a 2 hour lunch break on the day of the CFA.  I don't want a 2 hour break.  Ideally, I would like a 30 minute break so I can inhale some food and get back to the test.  It's a 6 hour test, broken up into 2 3 hour sections - so it's a long enough day without taking a 2 hour break in the middle.
Love:
  • My complexion has cleared up and the scarring from my acne is starting to fade to the point that I can run errands make-up free without feeling like I look scary.  That was not the case a few months ago!
  • Making post-CFA celebration plans.  My parents and aunt and uncle are helping me celebrate.  Celebration plans include mexican.  And probably multiple margaritas for me.  And maybe some tequila shots.  Ha.
  • Sleeping in until 8 on the weekends.  Oh sleep, how I miss you during the week.
  • Mid-day runs on weekend study days which really clear my head.  This wouldn't be possible if the weather was warmer, so I guess I should be thankful for the cooler temps?
  • Possibly being able to rent out my condo WAY WAY quicker than I thought I could.  Like a month from now I could be moving downtown.  Eeks!  Very exciting...  and lots of figure out.  And if my condo could pack itself, that'd be great.
Your turn...  what your wine/love of the week?

Post-CFA plans should DEFINITELY include tequila shots! :)

Wine: Pushing myself too hard this week - my body has literally shut down in an effort to get me to realize I need to slow down.

Love: My amazing husband. I just started crying last night (for no reason!) and then started babbling incoherently about any and everything. He listened, soothed me, gave me a kiss, and then tucked me into bed. Then I found gatorade in the fridge this morning because he knows I like that after a good cry. (I usually feel dehydrated).

I wouldn't like that 2 hour lunch break during the exam either. I would think everyone would just want to get it over with...very exciting about possibly renting out your condo, although packing does suck!

Mm, a break during the exam...I guess it could be good or bad, but 2 hours is a long time! You'll be fine though. Just don't review during the break!

that is exciting about your condo and your acne! yay. and i would be annoyed by the 2 hour break too. i like to get in, take the test and be done. none of that sitting around to keep going stuff.

That's really exciting about potentially being able to rent out your condo so soon! Just think about the margaritas and you'll get through the exam and the long lunch break.

Wine: I'm fighting a summer cold which is very inconvenient to me right now. Article revisions are a painful and frustrating process.

Love: I was very relieved to find some important research files that I thought I might have lost when I moved here last year. Signing up for races makes me happy.

I'm glad that your post CFA plans include Mexican & margs. That's a given. And we'll definitely have something fun going on in July when you come visit.

And a two hour lunch break? Are they crazy? That would make me nuts.

I am SO excited for you about the condo! I wish I was closer, I would totally help you pack up. I've become seriously PRO-packer! Being I packed up our entire house the past 2 times we've moved!

I also wish I lived closer so we could have a weekly sister-dinner-night.

Your post-CFA celebration sounds so fun!!!!

2 hour lunch break is just cruel. It'd be so much better to just get it over with!

Two hours! What does one do for two hours? Bring your Nook and read so you can block out the time! Looking forward to celebrating with you as I know you've been waiting for this a long time!
Wine: We had a beautiful week, but now they are talking rain again for the next 4 or 5 days!
Love: I'm going to become Grandma again next Tuesday! SO EXCITNG!

The rain has made it's way here too :( I am hoping it stays away for next weekend and my half!

You are getting so close to being done the test! I agree, I would rather have 30-45 minutes to quickly eat, take a breather and get back to it.

Mid day runs sound amazing! :) Eating dinners alone is really lame- I'm much more a fan of watching them in the company of reality tv.

I love that your acne is clearing up and that your scarring is going away!! I'm still waiting for my scars to go away and I think I'm going to look into some kind of reduction... serum... thing... lol :)

Are you using anything that works for you? :)

Sounds like you have mostly good stuff this week! yay! Hope everything goes well for you on the condo-front. Sounds like moving into the city will be a really great thing for you. :)

Tequila shots. DEFINITELY take some tequila shots!!!

Wine: Work. Definitely work and how stressful it's been this week.

Love: The BEAUTIFUL weather even though I am stuck inside and not able to enjoy it. It's been SO sunny and in the 20's (C hehe). Also the long weekend this weekend. SO needed!

A 2 hour break?! That is ridiculous, don't they know anything about the psychology of test taking?! Yeesh :(
Oh, but kudos on the potentially quick rental, how exciting!

Oh, gosh, I wouldn't enjoy a 2-hour break either! It would just stress me out! 1 hour is plenty!

Wine: This week has been dragging because I'm SO LOOKING FORWARD to my cruise!

Love: I'M GOING ON A CRUISE!!!

OK...not much to whine about at all! :)

Ah! How fabulous that your parents are going to join you for the post CFA celebrations. That makes me really happy.

I am with you on the weather. I'm currently wearing a freaking hoodie, in May.

This week I'm loving my mom who always knows how to make me feel better (including treating me to a pedicure).

Very exciting about possibly getting to move soon!!! I think it would be SOOOO great for you :) But boooo to a 2 hour lunch break on exam day. What the heck!?!?!?! If I had that much time to wait around I'd probably fall asleep!!!!

I am SOOOOO excited you might be moving downtown so quick!!!! That's wonderful :)

Totally agree with you that I would NOT want a 2 hour break! I want that two hours AFTER the test!

A 2 hour break does seem excessively long. I'm definitely the type that would just want to get it over, but I'm not sure I could sit through 6 straight hours. So I guess a lunch break is needed, but I'd probably prefer a lunch hour.

Plus are you allowed to go anywhere during the hour? I'm sure you can't go back to stuff you've already done after, but I would guess people would be reviewing during their break if possible right?
